In later installments of the series victory poses were still shared between characters. In each game, with the exception of Mortal Kombat (2011) and Mortal Kombat X, it was common for a victory pose to be shared with several characters, this was usually done with the palette swapped characters in the original trilogy. The animation is initiated only if a finisher has not been performed by the player. A Victory Pose is a brief, subtle animation performed by the victorious player's character at the end of the match.
